Please find the application from The SCOTTY Fund. Fill out the entire
application and return it to the post office box on the form.
The SCOTTY Fund provides financial and family support to children with life-threatening and critical illnesses. The SCOTTY Fund provides money for medical expenses, transportation and other ancillary costs associated with the illness, household expenss, childcare for siblings during active treatment, or to enhance the quality of life of the sick child.
The SCOTTY Fund pays expenses to third parties. Please enclose a copy of any bills or statements you are asking us to pay. The amount granted is dependent upon the need of the child and family. Please enclose a letter stating the need of your family.
The SCOTTY Fund provides assistance to children in the following towns: Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Easton, New Milford, New Fairfield, Newtown, Ridgefield, Redding
Grant Money provided for:
Medical Expenses: Insurance deductibles, prescription drugs, medical equipment, doctor and hospital charges.
Travel Expenses: Travel expenses incurred during medical treatment (includes airfare, gasoline, parking).
Rent/Mortgage: Rent or mortgage payment to avoid late payments during the child’s active treatment.
Household Expenses: Telephone and utility payments, meals and meal certificates, house cleaning, childcare.
Money for critically/ terminally ill Bethel parents: Money provided for services that allow ill parents to spend more time with their children.(there is a yearly cap on this amount.)
Holiday Gifts and meals: Shop for and wrap holiday gifts for ill child and siblings.
Holiday gifts for children in the pediatric chemo room at Yale NH Children’s Hospital.
